All-Class Reunion, October 24, 2026
Stacey Alexander-McCoy is the daughter of Jesse and Doris Alexander. Her parents, both students of the Marshall High School. Doris Perry Alexander graduated with the Marshall High Class of 1966.
Mrs. Alexander-McCoy graduated from Angleton High School as a member of the Class of 1984. She then attended Prairie View A&M University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work with a minor in Criminal Justice.
Following graduation, Mrs. Alexander-McCoy worked with individuals with special needs for four years before beginning a distinguished 16-year career with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), where she provided casework services to many children and families. In addition to her work with DFPS, she was employed with various organizations and agencies for more than twenty years, continuing her commitment to supporting children and families throughout Brazoria County.
Mrs. Alexander-McCoy says that God revealed to her early in life that she had been given a special gift for working with people. A gift that she did not initially understand, but time has allowed her to cherish the gift. She is married to Larry McCoy, and together they have two sons, Lance and Landon.
Dedicated to serving others, Mrs. Alexander-McCoy strives to give her very best in everything she does. While she considers her greatest blessings to be the gifts of her sons, Lance and Landon, she is especially grateful for being given the opportunity to have cared for her mother, Doris Alexander, in her home for more than six years. She credits God with giving her the love, strength, and patience to provide compassionate care during that time.
With deep roots at Marshall High School through her parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, Mrs. Alexander-McCoy recognizes the Marshall’s role in providing a strong educational foundation that prepared generations of her family and others to succeed and compete with the very best. Because of that legacy, she is committed to preserving the history and traditions of Marshall High School for future generations.
Mrs. Alexander-McCoy lives by the words:
"If I can help someone along the way, my living is not in vain."
